We are decommissioning the media servers and we are moving to a different system over time. So we have one media server we can remove but get an error when clicking "Delete" on the server:
Operation failed: Server [Media Sever Name] with cameras cannot be deleted. Please delete the IP or Analog cameras first
After seeing this error, I was like "Ok, never got this from the other media server a month ago let me remove the cameras". When doing so I get the following error doing a "Full Delete":
Note: The cameras are no longer online but sitting in a box.
Operation failed: Media server reported the error failed to get max camera app count which is supported by camera Operation failed: Failed to delete device. "[Camera Name]"
After that, I perform a soft delete which holds the recordings which work but still cannot delete/remove the server from VSOM. Getting the same error:
Operation failed: Server [Media Sever Name] with cameras cannot be deleted. Please delete the IP or Analog cameras first
Is there a manual way of removing the cameras from the Media Server or VSOM so I can decommission the media server? The cameras that are stuck are CIVS-IPC-8020.

I have fixed the issue, I change the IP Address of the media server to a non-working IP. Which then allows the "Force Delete" to happen on VSOM. I assumed "Please delete the IP" means to change the IP to a non-working one as you cannot really save the media server with no IP.
It has finally removed the media server.
