Affordable IOS Small Business Router?

I currrently have the RVS4000 and am looking at the RV180, but I'm having an issue with the RV180 supporting the Dynamic DNS service I need (see here). In that discussion, it seems what would be ideal for me is a router running IOS so I could customize the Dyanmic DNS client on there to fit my needs. However, is there any "affordable" router running IOS that's similar to the RV180 tailored to a small business without getting an overkill router?

Here's my basic needs:

• Router either compatible with DNS Made Easy's Dynamic DNS service OR has the ability to customize the Dynamic DNS client on there so I can adapt it for DNS Made Easy.
• I DO NOT need wireless. We only need Ethernet/wired.
• I prefer Gigabit Ethernet.
• We're not currently using ProtectLink, so if it offers the ability for it, great, if not, fine.
• We have our own VPN service and don't need to access the network remotely (just remote into one device using Dynamic DNS), so if it has built-in VPN, great, if not, fine.
• I'd like IPS included. Our RVS4000 has it and I like this feature.
• We're switching to cable broadband and VOIP through our cable company, so QoS should probably be included.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Great to hear! I ordered my RV042G today. May take until July to get here, but I can use my RVS4000 until then. Looks like between that and the SG200-08 switch I ordered my network will have a great upgrade.

Quick question about the RV042G. On your RV042, are you using the dual WAN feature? Wondering how I can get the most usage out of this. We probably won't be using a backup provider now, but can we do something with our existing cable provider to get the most out of the dual WAN feature? Thanks!

Unless you have more than one IP address for your ISPs connection and your ISP allows 2 Mac addreses against one Modem (I doubt it very Much) or you have ADSL and Cable then no.  I am using my RV042G as a test Router and is behind my RV220W at present.

The second WAN can be used however as a DMZ for a Webserver or something similar if you want to.

Sounds good. We'll just use the single WAN for now, then the other WAN is there of we want a backup system someday.

You also mentioned as a DMZ. Would it be good to put something like our VOIP system on the second WAN or just put it on the LAN? We have a Cisco SPA112.

I suppose you could use this, but remember all ports would be open unless you start putting in access rules or you voips system has a firewall. Also as far as I know the dmz feature on the rv0xx series does not do NAT on the DMZ Port.

True. So probably best to leave second port just there of we need a backup and plug the VIOP into the LAN.

Another quick "second WAN question". For the DNS Made Easy Script I need, I could run it on any Linux machine. Could I purchase a small Linux machine like the Sheeva Plug, plug it into the second WAN, and run my DNS Made Easy Script on it? That might work for my custom DDNS solution. Thanks!

Tekai had replied to me just this morning.

The DMZ Host feature allows admin to direct the traffic destined to the WAN IP to a single computer in the LAN, the DMZ Host. 
While DMZ Host is enabled, the port forwarding rules take precedence over DMZ Host.
The DMZ/WAN Port of RV042 allows admin to plug in a switch so all the computers connected to the DMZ Port through the switch can be exposed to the internet through “DMZ Range” or “DMZ Subnet” configuration.
