Can Cisco RV320 handle 2 different vlan and 2 different gateway ?

Hi,

I'm creating a small network with a Cisco 2960 where I whant to create two separate vlan (let's say vlan 10 and Vlan 20)

The idea is to keep the 2 vlan separated by connecting the one port on each vlan on the Cisco RV 320 (that I'm tinhknin to buy).

Is it possile to have 2 different vlan on the router and manage 2 subnets and 2 different DHCP ?

Hello Stefano,

My name is Kristian and I am one of the Engineers from Cisco Small Business.

Yes, the RV320 supports different VLANs and DHCP servers. You can assign separate VLANs to separate ports and you can also configure separate DHCP pools.

If you are interested in how this works you can take a look at the Administration Guide or the RV320 emulators online.

BTW do you know if it support Open VPN Client and if can I assign VPN only to one vlan ?

Hi Kristian,

I currently have following setup.

One RV320 router has 192.168.40.0/24 subnet.

Another RV320 router has 192.168.1.0/24 subnet.

I have connected them via Gateway to Gateway connection with multicast passthrough option.

I am streaming a movie file using VLC with rtp://230.0.1.2:5004 with TTL=255 on 192.168.40.10, and trying to play network stream on a machine at 192.168.1.100, but I could not.

When I captured a packet with wireshark, I do not see any packets from 192.168.40.10.  

What settings can I use to forward multicast packets from 192.168.40.10 to 192.168.1.100 through two RV320 router.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
