Does the RV180W support DHCPv6-PD?

Hopefully a simple question.  Comcast has indicated that this is required for IPv6 to work, and since it means gatting a /64 address space for my network I am understandably eager to tak advantage of this new functionality when it is available in my area.

Thanks,

Robert Hessenauer

Nagaraja,

As it had been several months since my last response I was wondering where Cisco was with this issue. Alternatiely, is there another SMB device (can be wired Gigabit at this point if necessary) that supports both the IPSec site-to-site VPN tunnels AND DHCPv6-PD in its native feature set.

I find it frustrating that the DHCPv6-PD is supported in your consumer line but not in the SMB space where it is more lokely to be used and understood.

Thanks for your response.

Tuska,

Just checking in to see if you had heard of any movement on this issue as well.  I am unable to "see" the support case that was opened in response, so I come to you.  I know they eventually resolved the issue on the RV042, and would be willing to switch hardware if necesary.  I just need the site-to-site VPN feature to support my father's network (he lives in a motor coach) and would like to have the full IPv6 implementation when it becomes available.

Thanks,

Bob Hessenauer

No movement on this one that I know of but I will ask about it..

Hello Robert,

At the current time, RV180 does not support the DHCPv6-PD feature. DHCPv6-PD is supported on RV042G and RV32x platforms currently. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Nagaraja
