Hello All,
We have two ISP connections coming in from different providers.
ISP A - This is a WISP with easy to setup static IP and gateway
ISP B - This is a DSLv3 connection using PPPOE
We are wanting to combine/load balance/bond these two ISP WAN connections.
We have two Cisco 2901 routers.
Router A - This has a 4-port Gigabit HWIC installed
Router B - This has a DSL HWIC and a 4-port Gigabit HWIC installed
Any recommendations for an option to combine the ISP connections through a single router, or using both routers would be greatly appreciated. We are a small organization with basic networking skillsets.
Your ideas would be greatly appreciated.
See the attached drawing.
Thanks

Hi
You can combine the 2 ISP links into 1 router and you would need to keep router B that has DSL HWIC.
Now regarding your bond question, you can’t really bond them. However, you can have 2 default routes with same administrative distance to make the router load balance the traffic.
This will work for outbound connections. Do you have any inbound exposed services? If so, you would want to keep the in and out path the same way.
