Hi,

the small fan of a SRP541w seems to have 'melted'  it's way out of it's casing. Can anyone give me a parnumber for a replacement fan for this router?

Hi Michael, if the fan literally melted, please contact the SBSC. That can be a hazard.

Here's the telephone numbers

Hi,

it isn't that serious :-)

the unit is out of warranty so I won't be able to get any help from the SBSC. I just wat to replace the fan but I need to know what type of fan I can use. From a photo I'm able to see that is a 30mmx30mmx10mm fan and it has 3-wires, so it's probably a speed-controlled fan. However, I can't see if it is a 5 Volt of 12 Volt fan... The unit is still running at a customers' site, so I not able to check myself...

Hi Michael, you should still call. You can explain there is a component failure via the fan melting. If someone has a problem, ask to speak with the manager on duty or the project manager. Cisco is very serious about component failure in such nature.
