Hi!
Last week i have bought two Cisco srp526w routers
to connect my home network to the network at my company via vpn.
Now i'm very disappointed to see that this router only supports
two dynamic DNS provider:
dyndns.org (not free anymore) and TZO.org (bought by dyn.com and not free anymore)
I am not going to invest 20 dollar a year to buy a account from these two providers
as there are several free dynamicDNS provider as no-ip or freeDNS.
Questions:
How do i configure the srp526 to use one of the free providers?
How do i convince Cisco to add these providers to the firmware?
BR
Sigurd

You could use a deivce behind your firewall to do dynamic dns updates e.g. a NAS, Linux or Windows Server, Web Cam perhaps.

Great answer!
I have just downloaded and configured the windows client for no-ip ddns service
and that works fine.
For my company site i have yet to find a client for the nas storage to update the ddns entry.
But now that i have a clue, i will succeed!
Thank you Michael!

Hi Sigurd
I know Qnap and Synology NAS can do dynamic dns.
Cheers
