Hi,
I just installed an RV180 at home. I can not get port forwarding to work - after reading in several forums I realize that I need a firmware 1.0.2.2 that currently is in a beta stage.
Could someone please help me with this?

Hi Lennart, beta firmwares are not openly available. Users which receive the software sign an agreement provided by the Cisco L2 team.
To request a beta firmware, your issue must be documented and verified against an existing bug so it may be determined the beta firmware may fix your problem. If you're experiencing a whole new issue, that also must be documented and then analyzed by Cisco.
The first step to all of this is calling the SBSC

I'd recommend you have a few things handy-
Cisco ID
Serial number of router
Current config file
Basic network diagram
Type of internet service
Who is the ISP and what modem

OK Tom, thanks for your time.
I think however that I will wait until it is released an re-awaken My Netgear FVS338 that can do what I need apart from throughput.
I would call support, but I have already spent my hours trying to get thru only to be referred to this forum.....
I tried the chat - but no answer
I tried to register via the Web, but there was no way I could get the form to accept my telephone number...
I think from what I read here and in other forums that this is a well confirmed bug, but....

Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for the link!
It does howerver not change the situation.
I have found that turning off the DHCP-server of the RV180 solves the problem and my ports are forwarded as they should. I now run the DHCP from my Zentyal server.
Cheers,

Hi Lennart,
I currently have an RV180 with firmware 1.0.1.9 and have port forwarding enabled and working. How did you configure your forwarding?

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for taking an interest!
As you probably have seen from my reply to Jonathan above, I have managed to get it to work by stopping the DHCP server in the RV180.
Do you use the DHCP?
I have first added and configured the services I need that are special and not part of the standard selection. I have then created access rules for them, and last added port forwarding.
First I got very strange behaviors where it sometimes worked and sometimes not depending on the order I made them and when I made changes to them. After turning of DHCP (on the LAN side) it all seems stable!
Cheers,

Hi Lennart,
Yes I do use DHCP on my RV180. However for the hosts that I have ports forwarded I put in a static dhcp entry so they get the same IP address everytime they are booted.
The way you described the configuration is how I configured my forwarding as well.
One thing that could also mess up port forwarding on the RV180 is UPnP. I have a Cisco/Linksys IP Webcam that hijacked one of my forwarding rules for a webserver. I had to disable that service on the router. However, that would mess up forwarding no matter where the DHCP service is.
