IOS flash successful?

Hi,

I have upgrade our Cisco 892F from version: Version 15.1(2r)T1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

to

Version 15.3(3)M, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

Reason is that the router suddenly rebooted, looks like a bug in the IOS. Crashinfo shows an Unexpected execption to CPU: Vector 1200 0x81413edc.

Well, I uploaded the 15.3 IOS to flash and configured the config file pointing to the new IOS. ((config)# boot system flash: system-image-filename)

Show version now looks like this:

I'm a bit concerned about this line: ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 15.1(2r)T1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) It looks like the old IOS is still active?

Do I have successful upgrade my 892? Why points the ROM to the old IOS?

If you want to use 15.3(3)M then I'd recommend you use the latter 15.3(3)M3 as this version has more bug fixes than the one you're loaded.

In regards to the ROM, it's a bootstrap and 890F doesn't have any newer bootstrap.  So you're safe.
