Hello, I just purchased a RV345 for my home lab so I am still on the UTM evaluation license. I am having some trouble configuring the UTM features. In vanilla mode with just the firewall, my throughput is about 650 Mbps down, 400 Mbps up. I have a gigabit synchronous connection. Whenever I enable the gateway antivirus, the throughput drops to 150 Mbps down/up. From what I can tell, logging is turned off. What baffles me is the Cisco page below claims this device can do 980 Mbps with IPS, Antivirus, and App ID all enabled. Here is the link:
So can someone help me as to why my device cannot reach these speeds? My previous router/UTM setup was able to achieve around 800 Mbps down/up with equivalent features enabled so I am at a loss as to why the Cisco cannot match it. My Wan DNS is set the to the OpenDNS servers. I have static IPs through AT&T.

Hello,
turn off the security features one by one and monitor the impact that has on the throughput. The values given are probably what the router achieves under optimal circumstances...

Thanks for the reply. I already did that, leaving all boxes unchecked and just selecting enable for the antivirus slows it down. I’m certain the router is capable of more.

Thanks Martin. I’m glad to hear this issue has been acknowledged. I will open a case here in a bit. I do already have that firmware installed.
