Hello,
We are currently using RV082 routers and all of our VOIP services work just fine with their setup. However, we are upgrading our routers to the RV325. Unfortunately we cannot get the RV325 to provide the same audio quality as the RV082. We have tried several settings but nothing seems to help. One weird thing we've noticed is that it takes about 6 - 10 hours for the garbled audio to start showing up, so it is like there is something that builds up in the router causing it to have poor performance after a while. The issue immediately goes away after putting the RV082 back into play. One thing we havn't tried is increasing the MTU size. Is there anything else that we could try to improve or prevent VOIP garbled audio issues?
Settings: Turned off DoS, Turned off SIP ALG and SPI, Turned off Block WAN requests, Set the UDP timeout to 300 secs.

Smells like a firmware bug. Tried newer firmware?
Personally we run all our SIP stuff over TLS so edge routers can't mess with it. Can you do something like that?
Otherwise perhaps try a different device than an RV325.

I've found on Amazon's product review that problem is fixed with the firmware update, too.
Phillip, would you please provide more details on how to run sip over tls?
Thank you.

It is a configuration option between your VoIP provider and your device - of which I know neither. I can't help on that one sorry.

Not sure about that, because we can have an RV082 with the same exact settings as the RV325 and there are zero issues.

Hello,
I hope you are doing well, my name is Jonathan, and I am part of the Small Business department here at Cisco. I would suggest to check the following.
-have you tried a factory reset after the firmware upgrade on the RV325?
-as you stated the rv082 is working fine, have you tried to put a switch in the middle to see if there are any kind of compatibility issues on the connection to your Voip provider?
-have you tested with the other RV325 you mentioned, if so did the quality improved?
-have you done any QoS changes on the unit? please check the link below and if you keep having the problem after checking this, feel free to contact us to open a case for you.
Thanks

We are already updated to the latest firmware available for the RV325. We are trying a different RV325 to see if it is an issue with that specific unit. If that doesn't work we may just have to try a different set of hardware.
