Quick VPN client can not connect to Cisco RV042

Hello,

My issue is not any different from all the posted under this subject, but I couldn't find a resolution in all the articles I read. To start my router is the "Cisco RV042" and not the "Linksys RV042" which confusingly have the same model number. Some of the articles I've read seem to refer to the linksys one.

I setup the VPN connection as per Article ID: 452 and followed the recommendations in the link below

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/124251/remote-vpn-tunnel

Basically, I am using VPN client access:

- User has a 6 digit password and is enabled.

- Exported the certificate and placed it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Small Business\QuickVPN Client

- Disabled "Block WAN request". When connecting from outside, i am able to ping my public ip.

- Remote management is disabled since it is not required.

- Windows Firewall enabled.

- Quick VPN is set to run as administrator

- I use bitdefender, but disabling it won't make a difference.

- All 3 VPN passthroughs are enabled (seems to be the default).

- My router has an internal ip of 10.1.1.1 and has DHCP enabled for 5 addresses.

- I am using Windows 10

Strangely I am able to connect if I am connected on the LAN, but if I go outside, I get the "Failed to establish the connection" that everybody is getting. I noticed that when I am able to login on the LAN, that I do NOT get an ipv4 address from the VPN as I am used to with windows vpn.
