Problems with Linksys RV082 and RV016 Cisco in pages that handle https, eg when logging www.logmein.com returns me back to the Home page of login, I find it when investigating a possible identity theft, the fucnión VR has the load balance as it changes from a modem to another modem that is more free, this is one of the problems I found and I have not been solved in a while, someone will know how to fix this big problem .

Thanks in advance.

Enrique,

On the RV082:

  1. System Management-> Dual-WAN
  2. Change to Load Balance (Auto Mode) At the bottom of the page you will now see Protocol Binding
  3. Select HTTPS [TCP/443~443] from the dropdown
  4. Select the source IP or IP range: (i.e. 192.168.1.100 to 150) This will bind HTTPS for any LAN device that uses an IP in this range.
  5. Select the Destination IP: Usually leave at 0.0.0.0 to 0.0.0.0 for ALL destinations
  6. Select the Interface to bind the protocol to (WAN1 or WAN2)
  7. Check the Enable box and Add to list. Save Settings at bottom of page.

On the RV016:

  1. System Management-> Multi-WAN
  2. Look for Interface Setting and select Edit for WAN1.
  3. Follow the steps from above.

Please let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

Hello Enrique,

Please use Protocol Binding to bind https to only one WAN port. You will find the settings on the same page as the Load Balancing setup. When you connect to a secure site it will no longer show that the connection is coming from two different WAN IPs. If you use RDP you should bind that to one WAN port as well to avoid problems.

Sorry, as I commented to me that, from the router, the page or where??? The truth I know little about this and not what you mean. Show me or tell me where to do this, some document or something.

Thanks in advance.

In advance thank you very much, as everything went well see you put your answer as solved.

Enrique,

Thank you for your kind words and you're welcome. I am not able to mark the question as answered since I did not ask it, but you can if you wish.

Mypyhala, I do not run the tests, as the pages that you comment if loaded fine, but there are specific that if you have the flaw, is that of a host that uses https as the legend shows immediately that the IP has been changed and not allowed to work, but at the moment if you load the Linksys Router performs the link change in the balance goes out the page and displays the IP that has been changed.

May be you think?
