RV130W - Connections drop suddenly and often; Works for Weeks; then only back to drops

RV-130W, Firmware 1.0.3.22

  1. Main office
  2. Warehouse, connects to main office server
  • firmware upgrade is greyed out, why?  multiple browsers same results
  • a main company router was setup to VPN to a warehouse
  • works well except it will weekly stop sessions after 3-5 minutes
  • this has happened all day today and has a few times before
  • both routers have same firmware
  • it does give a error about a self-signed certificate is being used

Why would VPN connections go through periods of dropping constantly?

The internet cable pings and traceroute is fine.   Internet connectivity is good.

can you post the logs that appear during a connection drop? they may help ascertain why it is dropping.

all the logs are enabled as you can see by the attached pic; however, selecting View Logs shows nothing.  (however this is the warehouse router; i will remote to the office router and see if I can see the logs there)

Try using the menu on the left panel, if you still cannot see the logs try using a different browser.
