I am trying to set up RV180 @ 2 locations. I have setup Port forwarding for Remote Desktop 3389 (Defined as a custom srvice), FTP and HTTP. When I try to access these services from within LAN it works fine, however from any other location only FTP works and RDP and HTTP are rejected. I have a static IP address. I have tried with both Port Forwarding as well as Access Rules. Please help ASAP.
Operation succeeded

Port 443 can be forwarded to web servers in the LAN, and port 60443 can be used as the alternative port for QuickVPN. This is true for all small business routers that support QuickVPN.

I have to ask again: does simple port forwarding work on the RV180? Can I set up PC Anywhere in this device and without disrupting the ability to connect to the device via HTTPS? This is a deal breaker for me. Thanks.

Hello all,
Port forwarding works fine on the RV180(W). If you are unable to get it to work properly, please call the Small Business Support Center for assistance.

I experienced the same issue today,
In my lab port forwarding would not work (I use dynamic ip) but
when I installed the RV180 at the customer with static IP
the port forwarding just worked.

Will this firmware be public soon? If not, how can I get a copy?
Thanks,
Bernard

I do not have any information on when a new firmware will be public but if you are wanting to get a copy of a beta firmware then you will need to call 1-866-606-1866 and get a case open. If you are having port forwarding issues then we will do some troubleshooting with you to confirm everything is correct and if we feel like this is the port forwarding bug you are experiencing then we will look to escalate your case. Also reference this forum post when you call to have a case open with us.
Thanks,

Due to the GPL related legal regulation, beta firmware has to be obtained through contacting the Support Center. Cisco is not allowed to post beta firmware for download freely.

I'm also looking for this beta firmware. We can't get port forwarding to work.

We have same troubles in port forwarding but we are not able to call in Support Center. Can we get beta firmaware on e-mail without contacting Support Center?

We may have an orphaned product here, what with the impending sale of LinkSys, and Cisco's withdrawal from the consumer market.

Hello Alex,
You will have to open a case with Cisco SBSC before they will be able to provide you the beta firmware. Best way to get a case open with Cisco Small Business Support would be to call them at 866-606-1866. You could open a chat with there support as well.
Thanks,

I have the same problem with a RV180W behind PPPoE. In order to get the beta firmware, I tried to contact SBSC by chat and waited for 1 hour, but they didn't respond.
I thought by buying a Cisco router I get something that works, or at least quick fixes for things that don't work. But instead the product support seems to be a very bureaucratic, inflexible and slow.

Christian, please give SBSC a phone call. It is expected that phone calls get higher priority than online chat when the support resource runs low in capacity.

Guys i'm new to the comunity and in fact i got here because of the this thread.
I'm working in a company of pet food distribution in chile and recently i changed a very beaten up WRT54GL for a brand new RV180, and started the config of port fowarding for 2 POS machines, a DVR and 8 Remote Desktop.
i was working on the router's config and found the same error as you did, config ok but no port fowarding... and after 2 weeks of looking into the config i accidentaly found a solution.
apparently once you config the port fowarding, the access rule is created by the routers programming but it is not ENABLED, it appears to be enabled but it isn't, all you had to do is edit the access rule config and save without any changes and voila! it works....
hope this can help you guys.
and sorry for my poor english.
Greetings
