RV180 QoS wan speed drop trouble remains

Dear people,

Installed 1.0.2.6, did reset to factory defaults, then I setup wan, lan, vpn and qos. While setting up qos, I took into account the workaround described in the release notes of 1.0.2.6, issue CSCtr24497, meaning I used the ip-range and not the vlan as I did before..

All nice, no wan speed drop, I'm a happy camper.

Afther reboot of the RV180 wan speed drops with 75% (!), disabeling qos reduces the loss to 50%. Now I'm not a happy camper any more! Only way to fix the problem is to bring the RV180 back to factory defaults and re-configure it again, restoring doesn't help, only resetting does.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the qos still buggy?

Thanx!

Hello,

What is the QoS configuration and how do you test the WAN speed?

You mention, you have a VPN configured - what kind of VPN. And what is your internet connection, do you have a modem infront of RV180?

Regards,

Kremena

Hi,

Wan QoS Mode is set to Priority. Three profiles; high, medium, low. Those profiles are bound to sip-udp, sip-tcp, http, https, and some bulk traffic.

VPN is IPSec, I just used the Basic VPN setup.

The rv180 is connected to a Cisco EPC3212 EuroDocsis 3.0 2-PORT EMTA, provided by my ISP. Connection is DSL.

The speedtest is done via http://naaldwijk.speedtest.net, this one is recommanded by my ISP.

Regards,

Jesse
