RV200W - Warning Kernel LOG ???

Hello,

By examining the logs of my RV220W (V1.3.5), I observed the following alerts :

I started getting the same error messages - I might have been getting them all along, I just turned on logging this week, as it seems that the router is rebooting several times a day.  It's less than three months old......

Can someone tell me why the router started rebooting itself several times a day ..... It seems to have started within the last week.  Prior to that no noticable concerns.  No changes were made to the router configuration for almost two months.

What gives?

There was no solution for me. Replaced them with som old ASA550x boxes.
They was rebooted unexpected several times each day when heavily used.

I have the same issue with mine rebooting several times a day.  I've searched and searched for a solution only to come to the conclusion "they just do that".  But, since I've upgraded to firmware version 1.0.7.2 (which is the latest the last time I checked...yesterday), when the router reboots, I have several offices where the VPN tunnels won't come back up right away.  I'm working frantically to replace the current Cisco infrastructure with something else.

Sorry for the inconvenience you are having. Thierry you are using an old fimware version, there is a new release, 1.0.4.17 , I recommended you download it and after that do a factory reset to your device, it has to resolve your problem. And remember always make a backup of your data

I have the latest firmware and reset my firmware to factory defaults *twice* reloaded my configuration by hand each time.

I bought this product because of the CIsco name, now I'm regretting the time lost trying to resolve this an other issues.

This issue is *not* fixed on this firmware and really should be applied to a hotfix and not some future release that may never happen.

If this is fixed via new hardware revision, please send a new router as this is hampering my business.

I have to agree with Geoff - I've applied the firmware 3 times, each time doing a factory reset. I've restored the configuration the each time by hand.  The problem persists.

Additioanlly, the router is rebooting itself constantly.  I keep checking on the status page, and the longest I've seen the router up and running is just under six hours.  With a three minute or better outage for each reboot this is very problematic.

I bought Cisco - because of the name. The router is less than 5 months old.  Purchased in July.

In the past two weeks I've spent more time trying to figure out what's wrong with the router than I should.  And this is having an impact on my business and my ablilty to support my clients.

If the firmware upgrade doesn't fix it after 3 tries - I have to assume that the unit is defective.  How do I exchange it?

I also am having this problem.  I have two RV220W routers that I keep in our hub office.  Last week, one of the routers lost its "cookies" and our entire infrastructure went down.  I had the other router with the latest firmware version set up and ready to go.  I swapped it out.  Ever since that swap, I've been having issues.  The router reboots itself several times a day (they've always done this no matter what firmware version).  I've come to the conclusion after extensive searches that "they just do that".  Now, with the upgraded firmware router, I have offices losing their vpn connections on and off throughout the day.  I've been looking at the logs and see many of these errors mentioned above.  I can always find people that have the issues that I'm having with my Cisco SB routers, but I rarely find any solutions.  If it's hardware related, what are the chances of having two different routers exhibit the same behavior?  Now I'm back in the same boat, wasting hours trying to find a solution to a problem that seems to be rampant with Cisco.  I currently have an Edgerouter that I'm going to try to configure and replace the Cisco.  I'm tired of spending countless hours chasing issues that never seem to get resolved. 

I had this issue on my first unit, I had to get that one replaced as it did seem to be a hardware issue. I have two now that have been working reliably for years now. I don't think quality control was a priority with these units.
