Hi,
I have a problem to set up QOS correctly.
Fist of all there is choice between "Priority" and "Rate Limit". In both cases I have to fill in "Total WAN (Internet) Bandwidth". What number should I put in if my internet speed is asynchronous (say 64Mbps downstream and 5Mbps upstream)? Does it matter?
Thanks.

The QoS feature is designed for managing the outbound bandwidth, i.e. the LAN to WAN traffic. So you should enter 5Mbps in the "Total WAN (Internet) Bandwidth" field on the Web GUI.

Thank you tekliu!
In the meantime I searched for documentation about QoS, WMM and Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP). Apart from the fact it is hard to find any useful documentation about this topic, I found very good documentation on the CISCO homepage, e.g.
1. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk543/tk757/tech_tech_notes_list.html
2. http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Internetworking_Technology_Handbook
It would be nice to find such infomation better linked or being added to the RV220W manual!
Another link I would like to share with you is http://www.biztechmagazine.com/article/2010/03/boost-network-performance-windows-7-qos. There you will find information how to set up Win7 to take advantage of WMM and DSCP (in a non-existing active directory domain).
But still, one open question to me is how to tag incoming traffic so that it will preferred according to the WMM settings.
Cheers, Jens
