RV220W suddenly lost QuickVPN connectivity

RV220W worked good with QuickVPN, but suddenly lost such ability and doesn't allow connection from any Windows machine (Xp,Win7 32/64 bit)

QuickVPN is ver. 1.4.2.1

Cisco RV220W firmware is ver. 1.0.4.17

Client error on Windows XP in Log.txt :

[STATUS]Windows Firewall is OFF

[STATUS]One network interface detected with IP address 10.1.1.165

[STATUS]Connecting...

[DEBUG]Input VPN Server Address = x.x.x.x

[STATUS]Connecting to remote gateway with IP address: x.x.x.x

[WARNING]Remote gateway wasn't reached

[WARNING]Failed to connect.

[STATUS]Remote gateway was reached by https ...

[WARNING]Remote gateway wasn't reached

[WARNING]Failed to connect.

vpnserver.conf saved on client, but doesn't have gateway IP details

Cisco router log shows: [IKE] Faild to load the configuration

What has been done on client :

Firewall off

ipsec service is running

antivirus off

netsh int ip reset

allow 1723,500,4500,443,60443 inbound ports on home router

even move client IP to DMZ

remove VPN software other than QuickVPN

https.pem certificate exported from router and put in client directory

What hs been done on Cisco RV220W router:

Networking>WAN>IPv4 WAN: MTU is default (there is now "auto" in RV220W)

Firewall >Access Rules: no forwarding rules for 443,60443,500,4500

Firewall >Attack Prevention (both "enabled" and "disabled" have been tried):

• Respond to Ping on WAN - enabled
• Stealth Mode - disabled
• Flood - disabled
• Block UDP flood - disabled
• Block Anonymous ICMP - disabled
• Block Fragmented Packets - disabled
• Block Multicast Packets - disabled

VPN>IPsec>VPN users: QuickVPN user created

VPN>VPN Passthrough: ipsec,pptp,l2tp enabled ("disabled" for pptp also has been tried)

Administration>Remote Management on port 60443 - enabled

Welcome to the club.  I too gave up on QVPN on the RV220W. afaik you need the Firewall enabled on the client for IPSec to work correctly (vista/Windows 7)

Can you use SSL VPN?  that what i use now.

Currently i struggle with Windows XP

What i have discovered , that QuickVPN is working a little after router reboot , but stops after a few minutes.

SSLVPN has only 10 licenses on RV220W , but i need more (QuickVPN has 25)

Hi Johnnatan  ,

Finally problem has been solved follow by all suggestions.

I would say Quick VPN installation isn't straight forward and very dependent on

status of OS on specific computer.

Sometimes need to find and remove other 3d party vpn software,reset tcp with netsh,
