RV325 System Log Entries - Kernel - kernel: wrong ip[0],not_list[0]

Hello,

I have a RV325 Router. Entries in the System Log are mysterious to me and all my search results and reading are not relevant.

The Event-Type is - "Kernel", and the Message is "kernel: wrong ip[0],not_list[0]"

The Log entries occur every few minutes.

Does anyone know what this log entry signifies?

Also, does anyone know how to get an answer to any question from Cisco?

Thanks,

Michael Downs

Hi Michael,

I would assume that the "wrong ip" and "not_list" options are the current settings from the DHCP->IP & MAC Binding menu for "Block MAC addresses not on the list with wrong IP address", and "Block MAC address not on the list". The 0/1 inside the [ ]'s indicates it's current setting.

At least the values in my logs match the values on that page for my switch. Why it is happening every few minutes, I do not know, but suspect that given the context of DHCP, that the frequency has something to do with when some lease event occurs.

Hope this helps you and others. Cheers o/
