Hello,
I have the default VLAN1 (192.168.1.1, DHCP enabled) and defined a VLAN2 (172.23.3.2, DHCP Relay to a 173.23.3.1). Separately they work fine.
Inter-VLAN routing is enabled but still I cannot get devices on one VLAN to connect to devices on the other VLAN. What am I missing?

Hi,
Users connected in VLAN 2 should have the gateway as VLAN2 interface IP configured on the RV340W router in order to inter-VLAN routing to work properly.
In your example “VLAN1 default gateway: 192.168.1.1, VLAN2 default gateway: 192.168.3.1” that is happening as the respective VLAN interface IP’s are gateway on the users.
However, once you are using 172.23.3.x Network that time VLAN interface IP on the RV340W is 172.23.3.2 but the gateway on the connected users in that VLAN 2 is 172.23.3.1. So, the request is going to 172.23.3.1 instead of 172.23.3.2, which is causing the issue, I think.

Just to rule out:
Verify that the devices have the correct gaateway.
If you are pinging, verify that the firewalls are off, as these can block pinging from remote networks.
Can you share the current configuration of the router?

I can ping among devices as long as they are on the same VLAN (either 1 or 2), so device firewalls could be ruled out basically.
On the router itself the configuration is pretty close to default. I have no static routes, nor additional firewall rules defined.
The default gateway question is very good. If I setup VLAN2 with - i.e. - 192.168.3.1, DHCP enabled (so not with DHCP relay) inter-vlan routing simply works alright. In this case I have:
VLAN1 default gateway: 192.168.1.1
VLAN2 default gateway: 192.168.3.1
In my desired configuration I have:
VLAN1 default gateway: 192.168.1.1
VLAN2 default gateway: 172.23.3.1 (DHCP supplied)
But inter-vlan routing in this case is gone. Would I need any static routes? If yes, why does it simply work in the previous example without any?
