RVS4000: IPS not blocking Skype

Howdy,

I have an RVS4000 (hardware v1) with the 1.3.2.0 firmware and the IPS signature database from June 2010 (v1.42).  I have set the IPS to block SKYPE but can still access it on my network.  So I rebooted the router and it still doesn't seem to be blocking SKYPE.

Any idea's or suggestions?

Hi Doug,

I reviewed your case that was opened here at the Support Center.  We were able to replicate the same thing and the case is being Escalated to the Engineering team.

Hi,

Exactly the same issue here. IPS on RVS4000 with firmware v 1.3.2.0 is not blocking skype at all. Did you find any solution to this?
