when I plugged WAN1 with core switch linked with my old free ( firewall ) the internet works fine and WAN 1 ( connected ) .

Hello Swaidan1,

I hope you are doing well, I would like to give you a quick step to try to solve that "connected/inactive" status.

  1. You can disable "Network Service Detection" under the WAN configuration

                System Management > Dual WAN

Select the WAN Interface and click Edit

  1. Make sure you have the latest firmware version 1.4.2.19

      https://software.cisco.com/download/home/284005929/type/282465789/release/1.4.2.19?i=!pp

  1. If this does not work we will be more than glad to do an advanced troubleshooting to determine what exactly is going on so you can call us to 1866-606-1866 so we can create a case for you and help you out.

Thank you for contacting cisco support community

Regards,
