wrv210 logs

Hi,

Is there any manual how to read logs from WRV210?

For example we get logs like:

> [URL Detect] [URL Link] [open.fm Intercepted](TCP) Outgoing

> Source:192.168.10.150:1162 Destination:91.197.14.155:80 [Transmitted]

> Mail Alert: URL Filter

> [URL Detect] [URL Link] [my.adocean.pl Intercepted](TCP) Outgoing

> Source:192.168.10.150:1160 Destination:217.17.36.27:80 [Transmitted]

> Mail Alert: URL Filter

> [URL Detect] [URL Link] [ggao.hit.gemius.pl Intercepted](TCP) Outgoing

> Source:192.168.10.150:1161 Destination:91.197.12.213:80 [Transmitted]

> Mail Alert: URL Filter

I assume that this logs shoudl be related to firewall and URL filtering, but on the router URL filtering is disabled, can anoyne explain what does it mean?

Thanks,

Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,

Can you verify what logging levels you have set?  Not the URL filter, but the actual log level 0-7

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

Can you tell me where can we set logging level in WRV210?

I've attached screen shot from from router configuration. Is it in another tab?

Br,

Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,

My apologies, I mis-read the device.

In your case however the logs you are recieving are mail logs that you have configured.  I have replicated the same, and see similar logs.  You have URL Detect enabled in the Mail logs.  If you were to uncheck this, you will no longer recieve all of those emails.

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

I know that we can disable to log this information, but it would be good to know what this logs mean if we have it enabled?

There is no description in the docummentation what this logs are responsible for.

Best Regards,

Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,

The message is telling you the URL address the PC is trying to reach, the PC's IP address and the destination address that the URL resolves to.

Thanks!

Dave
