Hello, as a reference I wrote a post about an issue on the 920:
https://community.cisco.com/t5/routing/asr920-bgp-on-bdi-interface-doesn-t-work/td-p/5263930
The BGP traffic is marked as COS6 and my metro-eth-ISP is dropping it.
I need to know if I can map an egress policy on a BDI interface, to mark ALL traffic that goes out from the router as COS0?
I cannot do it on the ASR920 so I am looking about the 1001-X
Does someone with the 1001-X can test a policy-map egress on a BDI interface to mark ALL traffic COS0?
thanks

I do not believe or suggest changing the COS can fix the issue. Instead, contact the provider and inform them about the requirement. (they should not be dropping any traffic as the provider)
cos6 is the default behavior and have priority.

They have this strict policy! I had mikrotik that marked traffic as COS0, so they told me to be sure that my router "colours" correctly the right COS egress.

Hello @spadhausen ,
BGP messages are locally generated traffic I'm not sure you can with a policy-map but under router bgp configuration there should be an option to change the value of the COS settings. It is strange the provider is blocking CS6 mapped on 802.1Q CoS 6 but a possible solution is at router bgp config level.
What version of IOS XE is on your device ?
another option is to use local PBR that can process locally generated packets it is applied in global config not within an interface.
Hope to help

Hello Giuseppe, thank you for your answer.
At the moment I have a 920 but I have found a cisco docs that states that the policy map cannot be applied on a BVI/BDI interface, so I have to replace it. In my situation the provider explicitely blocks everything NOT COS0.
The solution is to clear the COS and set to COS0 for ALL the traffic, expecially the BGP.
"another option is to use local PBR that can process locally generated packets it is applied in global config not within an interface."
I have made some research and tests on ASR920 but it seems unsupported.
On a 1001-X It should work but I could like to have someone that can confirm it.
