Hi gurus,

Can this gsr support this 10GE linecard? We are planning to upgrade our existing 3GE linecard to 10GE.

Hello Jeff,

there are two possible options for 10GE

the classic 10GE 1port linecard is supported see

that has an engine 4+

or the SIP linecard + SPA 10 GE

SIP 600 or newer SIP 601

this combination provides more features at an higher price

Hi Giuseppe,

What is the transceiver used for this? Mini-GBIC like XFP? What is the difference on the forwarding engine, like engine 3 and 4?
