I had recently posted about adding a WIN-1ENET to a 1720. I have loaded the appropriate IOS according to IOS Configuator. I have tried a couple of different versions. My router continues to not recognize the WIC-1ENET. any ideas?

Hello,
which IOS are you using ? You need 12.2(2)XJ:
IOS release 12.2(2)XJ also includes enhancement to the software for the WIC-1ENET adapter. Using IOS 12.2(2)XJ software, two Ethernet WIC (WIC-1ENET) adapters can be installed in a Cisco 1720, 1750, and 1751 routers.
Have you tried that IOS ?
Regards,
GP

I am currently using 12.2(29a) which the feature tool recommended based on hardware selection. I will try to find the other.

When I look under IOS Downloads, the closest I can find is 12.2.2-XQ(DF) which defers to 12.2(2)XH which I cannot find. The actual error that I get on boot is PQUICC-1-UNKNOWN_WIC: PQUICC(0), WIC card has an unknown ID of 0x390
This is in slot 0 of the 1720

FYI - this particular WIC-1ENET works fine in a 1751-V that I have.
