1921 IOS upgrade failing

HIi All,

Just wondering if anyone else has experineced isssues upgrading the IOS on a 921 router.

i'm upgrading from:

c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-4.M4.bin

to

c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-4.M3.

And even after stating the boot system command i get the following error below

IOS Image Load Test

___________________

Unsigned Image Found, bailing out

Signature DID NOT VERIFY

boot: cannot load "usbflash0:c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-4.M3.bin"

It seems i need some digital signature and when i run the verify command i get this:

CTSGW01#verify flash:c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-4.M3.bin

%Error verifying usbflash0:c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-4.M3.bin: Digital signature is not present

How can i create a certificate for the new IOS? I've never had to do this for other IOS 15 upgrade?

I've confirmed the IOS is not corrupt and if i upgrade the router in ROMMON the router boots correcty.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Hi,

Just to let everyone know, its seems that upgrading from usbflash1 corrupts the file somehow. I tried copying the IOS from my laptop to the usb drive several times. Before doing a safe remove of the USB drive i confirmed that the md5 hash was correct. When i tried to copy from the usb to the router somehow the file got corrupted.

hope this helps others in the future.
