Hi all,
We have a 2600 router that seems to have problems installing a new IOS image from rommon using xmodem.
After I put in the command "xmodem -c c:\TFTP-root\c2600-i-mz.123-26.bin", I'm getting "Timeout waiting for data - aborting download" information. Also, the baud rate is set to 115200.
I'm not sure what is hapenning at this point. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi, it's much easier, faster and safer to load the new image via tftp. Type tftpdnld and you will see which variable you have to set in rommon to do that. On the pc you can use tftpd32 that is a free download.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

I did try that as well, but I obtained a message taht said "PHY did not complete auto-negotiation, status = 0x100 TFTP operation terminated prematurely"

If connected to a switch port, can you enable negotiation on it ?
