2821 card command problem

Hi,

I have installed am ATM module in a 2821 router, but I have no chance to put the command 'mode atm aim 1'

murotuer(config)#controller E1 0/3/0

myrouter(config-controller)#mode ?

  cas  Configure CAS (Channel Associated Signal) mode

  ccs  Configure CCS (Common Channel Signal) mode

myrouter#sh diag

This is your issue.

This is NOT for ATM support.

You need

AIM-ATM variant

Sorry, but I don't understand 'NAME: "8-port Analog Modem Card Version 2 on Slot 1", DESCR: "8-port Analog Modem Card Version' is for dial up access.

I need to configure the ATM for the VWIC-2MFT-E1 card.

Sorry that was bad use of copy & paste by me.

I should have pasted this :-

NAME: "Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module on Slot 1", DESCR: "Encryption AIM Element"
PID: AIM-VPN/SSL-2     , VID: V01, SN: FO

This is for VPNs and SSL

As I said this is the wrong type of AIM for ATM support

You need the AIM-ATM variant
