3560X downgrade from universal to ipbase

We have a number of 3560X switches running a universal IOS using ipbase licensing.    Can I "downgrade" the IOS from universal to ipbase?    The switches are providing L2 services only.

Thanks,

Tom

You can but it won't make any difference. If the appliance is running IP Base license then it will "stay" at IP Base feature when running Universal IOS code.

As Leo noted, yes you can. Features won't change. The only "advantage"of running an IPBase image, it would need less RAM to run in. If you're only doing L2, doubt the freed RAM would help in any manner.

Leo and Joseph,  thanks for the quick replies and help.
