May I ask the command
chat-script <script name> "" "ATDT*98*<profile number>#" TIMEOUT <timeout value> CONNECT
What is the defference between ATDT*98* and ATDT*99*
and profile setting
cellular 0 gsm profile create 4 APN.telstra pap john@doe.com johnpassword
can I just set the APN with username and password?

Hi,
On a router with 3G card you may define several 3G profiles, with different APN, credentials, etc.
If you use a chat script with ATDT*99#, IOS will select the default profile (i.e. profile #1).
If you use ATDT*98*2#, IOS will choose the specified profile number, in this case #2.
The syntax for the profile create command is:
cellular x/x/x gsm profile create
You must define the APN name, choose always IPv4, then select chap or pap depending on your Telco's specifications.
Hope this helps

So I must define APN and credentials in profile
However, When I use ATDT*99#, default profile will be used, may i ask what is the APN and credentails in default profile?
And what is the defferent of ATDT number 99 and 98

98 and 99 are parameters from the old ATDT commands
99 means profile 1
98 makes it possible to define extra profiles
ATDT*98*1 corresponds with ATDT*99*
From my experience you require at least an APN while password/username are often not required in the chat-script.
