4351 Flash Memory Not Showing Right Size

I have several ISR4351 routers that I am upgrading from 4G to 16G of flash.  The new flash memory is not showing the correct size.  I've tried a couple of new flash modules and both have the same result.

Running "show file system" with the new flash has this output.

router-new#sh file sys
File Systems:

       Size(b)       Free(b)      Type  Flags  Prefixes
             -             -    opaque     rw   system:
             -             -    opaque     rw   tmpsys:
13917048832   12231565312      disk     rw   bootflash: flash:

This is what it looks like on a router that was upgraded previously.

router#sh file systems
File Systems:

       Size(b)       Free(b)      Type  Flags  Prefixes
             -             -    opaque     rw   system:
             -             -    opaque     rw   tmpsys:
14775529472   12561870848      disk     rw   bootflash: flash:

I also see this message when booting the router.

%IOSXEBOOT-2-FLASH_SIZE_CHECK: (rp/0): Flash capacity (15 GB) is insufficient for fault analysis based on installed memory of RP (16 GB)
%IOSXEBOOT-2-FLASH_SIZE_CHECK: (rp/0): Please increase the size of installed flash to at least 16 GB (same as physical memory size)

Why does the router think this is 15G of flash?

Thanks,

Patrick

According to the details of the CSCvi38910 (if it's even 50% accurate), this is just cosmetic. However, I'd recommend you raise a TAC Case so they can confirm if you're hitting this bug or not.

I opened a TAC case.  Cisco says this is just a cosmetic error and can be ignored.

Can you please provide the Bug ID?
