Short Version - I need to know if there is a way to modify the dialer script or some other Cell/Line parameter to force a second gen 4G EHWIC-4G-LTE-V to use Band 4 vs Band 13.
Details - I have 15 or so sites configured with HWIC EHWIC-4G-LTE-V 4G cards within 1921 Routers. These devices provide failover WAN services for a full tunnel DMVPN configuration. At one specific site, we have excellent signal reception but excessive interference
We then received a new shipment of HWICS which came with the next gen Sierra Wireless AirPrime chipset. This chipset allows for the use of Band 4 (AWS) where available. Thinking we had the golden nugget, we swapped HWICS and antennas to support band 4, and sure enough the device connected on Band 4 with a +20 SNR; however, this was short-lived as the device dynamically switched over to Band 13 shortly thereafter (Band 13 signal strength is very strong at this location @ -45 db) and we have not been able to get the device to use band 4 since it's maiden voyage.
I am hoping there is a way to modify the dialer script to tell Verizon that this device can only do band 4 or prefers band 4. I did find some documentation with Sierra Wireless which stated this could be accomplished by sending an AT command of !BAND=04 but it was not specific to Verizon and I am unclear as to how the command parameter would be incorporated into the dialer script.
Any Ideas?

I don't know the answer, but if you are desperate you could probably get a local specialist to make you a 700Mhz filter to go between the antenna jack and the antenna. If you kill the signal in just that band it will make the others more attractive.

Perhaps try (and adjust interface numbers for your platform):
chat-script lte "" "AT!BAND=04!CALL" TIMEOUT 20 "OK"
interface Cellular0
dialer string lte
line 3
script dialer lte

Hi klivesey,
Did you end up trying the command Philip suggested or solve the problem via AT commands?
Thank you.
