6500 backup supervision card

I have a Cisco 6509 with a SUP720 3BXL card. I bought a second SUP720 3BXL card that I update to the same version of IOS as the first one.

To use it as an spare card Are there any parameters to be configured before installing the card in the chassis or not?

I would tell you to make sure when setting it up there is no impact on my production.

Just make sure the 2nd card has the same IOS version and the supervisor card doesn't have any configuration.  Organize for an outage time.  The card can be inserted without any outage but sometimes it is just not the case.
