how can we know bits/sec on 6509 ports, if we do "sh int fa0/1" on 3500 it says input rate is 100 bits/sec, simillarly is there any command or trick to know on 6509 ports...

No, there is no such command like "sh int 8/44" on catalyst OS. i am getting packets counters if we use " sh counters 8/44" on 6509 but i am looking for input and output rate of 6509 ports...

You cannot see input/output rate equivalent on c6509 but only total numbers of octets
since the last interface counter clearing.
If you want to have average input/output
numbers as on IOS based switch, clear the counter on the specific interface, and measure
the number of octets for a time period.
Alternative solution is to pool this information to MRTG or PRTG tool so no need
in CatOS CLI digging.
