7200 Router Chassis serial number

Can anyone advise how to obtain the chassis serial number of a 7200vxr router from the CLI?

I think you have to walk down to your chassis and take it out. There will be a white sticker on the route processor itself. I think there no command as such.

It may be IOS version dependent but I have a 7206 running 12.3T code and when I do a show inventory command it displays the serial number.

Hi - tried that - it gives you midplane EEPROM and the CPU EEPROM but no chassis.
