Hi,
We are looking for a hardware platform to support full BGP routes and 1Gbps forwarding Between 2 interfaces (routed). Would the 7604 with a Sup 32 be sufficent ?
Thanks
Alex

Hi Alex,
If we are talking about for the full BGP routes here, I would suggest to go for sup 720.

HTH, Please rate if it does.

Hi Amit,
I looked at the specs and the reason why i was asking that question is cost related. The router perf sheet show the 7600 with SUP32 at 15Mpps with CEF enabled. which shoud be enough to forward 1Gbps between 2 of the 8 availables 1Gbps interfaces on the sup. 1GB of memory again should be enough for Full BGP routes. Is the SUP720 really going to give me more performance or just a more felexible platform in terms of features available (+ the switch fabric on the sup)
Thanks for your help
Alex
