Hey Guys,
I have Cisco 805 Router and connecting a 2 MB Lease line but my serial link line protocol is not comming up. I have tested the link with other 2600 router and the link is working fine.
Is there is any speed issue with 805 Router. I mean does it support 2 MB Link.
Regards,
MAX

Once you are using the correct cable then it should work. If the router cannot support such bandwidth, it will be limited during the packet transfer and still able to let the interface up.
Are you using DCE cable ? You should use DTE cable.
Please advise the cable model no. and the interface type of the CSU/DSU, modem, etc.
Please also provide the router config. for reference.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply!
I am using Smart Serial V.35 Cable.
Interface Serial0
ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.252
no sh
encapsulation hdlc
When i am doing Show Controller Serial0, i am seeing V.35 cable detected and "clock stopped".
i am also getting a message from the console that "speed exceed 512Kb, port shutdown"
Any suggestion please......

MAX

Sorry I can't find such doc. to tell the actual throughput of 805 and 512kbps is not an usual figure for an async/sync interface.
Can you provide the "show controller" & "show serial 0" ?
