827 Router losing config

Hi All

This morning I performed a password recovery on a cisco 827 router. Since then i have not been able to keep changes I make to its config. Could I have done the password recovery wrong ? At the time of recovery I did not know the config-reg so i used confreg 0x2142 was this bad ?

Hi Dom

do check out whether you have changed the register value back to 0X2102 once after you have changed the enable password.

If its still configured with 0X2142 then it will again bypass the config and take you to normal fresh router prompt.
