About CCNA Security exam

Hi everyone,

   I have ccna cert. and 9 months later will be expire. Thats why I  want to take ccna security cert.

question 1) May I directly pass ccna security exam  or before another exam?

question 2) If ı pass ccna security exam my ccna certificate will not be expire?

Hi,

1) yes you can do the CCNA Security with a valid CCNA certification, things are going to change soon but in the good way as now only a valid CCENT will be mandatory as a prerequisite for getting CCNA specialized.

2) if you succeed then your CCNA will get valid for a new 3 years lifetime

  My Cisco ID: CSCO11903346. I passed ccna exam. So I can take 640-544(ccna secutiy) exam. Someones says to me; "you must pass ccna r/s exam". I couldnT be sure. is it true or not?

Hi,

If you passed CCNA exam, which is CCNA RS and are still certified then you can pass the CCNA Security and if you succeed then you'll be CCNA Security Certified and you'll renew your CCNA RS.

I passed 640-802.And now to take ccna security certificate ; Which exams ı must pass? So what is ccna r/s exam code?

CCNA RS is 640-802 and CCNA Security is 640-544
