Dear Richard,
I hope you saw my post below showing the output of the TFTP server . As you can see the router sucessfully boots from the TFTP server, but it doesnt ping it or doesnt download the IOS file from the TFTP afterwards.

SOLVED!!!!,
Dear All,
I have now finally resolved the issue of the router to copy the IOS from tftp to flash. it turns out the problem was that the interface which i was communicating with the TFTP server had a diffrent IP settings in the startuup config. so when i match the IP address of the interface i assigned it in the TFTP settings with that of the start up config , then it strated working .
Thank you all for your support, and i think we should colse this topic. I will be seeing you on a diffrent post .

Thanks for posting back to the forum and letting us know that you have solved the problem. Glad to know that it turns out to be an issue with interface addressing as I had suggested. It is now appropriate to close this discussion.
HTH

Dear All,
As you can see below, I have sucessfully booted from the tftp server and logged in. but once i log in , the router doesnt ping the "tftp server " and hence couldnt copy the IOS from tftp to flash. It gives me request timeout error.
Please help,
