Hello,
I have a cisco 1900 router, that has a current Extended ACL named Internet.
I have created a named ACL and added the variables I need for my new email server but have not applied it to the interface yet.
My question is, if I apply this new named ACL to the interface, will my old ACL that I still need to work, stop working or can I have both named ACL's
working at the same time?
Thanks,
Stephen

You many only have one IP ACL, for ingress or egress.

Correct, but you might be able to have one ACL that contains entries from both those lists.
Also, if you have an Internet facing interface, a DMZ facing interface and an internal facing interface, you might have a different ACL on each. Also don't forget "in" vs. "out", i.e. some "in" Interfacing ACE might be suitable as an "out" ACE on the DMZ or internal interface.
