Hi Ahmed,

Can you collect and attach crashinfo files?

Hi Ivan,

I have attached the crash file.

Thanks in advance for your offered help.

Ahmed

Hi Ahmed,

This crash file is from SP and shows that RP was the culprit and crashed first:

Aug  1 18:47:27.333: SP: SP detected RP/Draco rebooting, resetting SP

=== Start of Crashinfo Collection (21:47:27 UTC Thu Aug 1 2013) ===

Check for another crashinfo files on RP (bootflash).

Kind Regards,
Ivan Shirshin

Cisco 7606S with dual RSP720-3C-GE 2 engines

Both running same IOS and package files.

Both Config Registers are as follows:

Configuration register is 0x2102

The only difference that I see are Modules 5 & 6 Revision numbers are different and the Bootstrap loader is different on each device.  See Below..

When performing the "redundancy force-switchover" command the device fails over to the Hot Standby, but the original master goes into ROMMON

Do the RSP system bootstrap versions have to match in order for sso redundancy switch over to work correctly?  Everytime I power cycle my Cisco 7606S device the Master RSP boots up just fine but the Hot Standby does not.

I have verified that both RSP's have the same IOS c7600rsp72043-advipservicesk9-mz.153-3.S6.bin, same amount of memory etc.  The only difference that I can determine are that the bootstrap versions are different.
