Admin user account in Cisco FTD

Hi Folks,

Is there an issue removing the default admin username on Cisco FTDs?

we are planning to remove it since we have are own admin accounts.

Hello!

The admin account is a required built-in account. You can give it a very strong password and restrict access to the management network but you cannot disable it altogether.

Ok buddy thanks for your answer. Ill change the password instead as recommended.

As I know when you first access to FTD it give you options to change username/password of default admin.

So no need to remove it only modify it.
