ADSL router freezing

Got an ADSL router, C837 freezing and needs manual reboot. Got the router replaced by different brand at different interval, and they go in the same behaviour after a week or so. The same C837 has been deployed elsewhere n working fine. Any chance that the fluctuation in frequencies on that particular line screwing the routers. Will appreciate any troubleshooting tips that i can enable on a cisco ADSL router and capture logs to build my case with the provider. It's been a deadlock so far. Thanks...

Hi

Did you try to login onto the router using the console ?

did you check out for the logs or the cpu utilisation ?

you can verify the logs using show logs command and cpu utilisation using show process cpu..

Hi Kumar,

Nothing showed on the logs, and CPU utilisation pretty low. Even with one single machine connected from inside; at time the DNS itself is not resolved. It appears more like the router is unable to forward the packets correctly. From other sources, it appears that 'impedance mismatch' can knock the box as well.
