Hi
I doubted my internet ADSL is very weak. I used Cisco 877 router to gateway internet.
I faced the problem my cisco 877 can't receive signal from ISP but I replaced to use Linksys Cisco. It worked.
So I remoted to router and issued command show dsl interface atm 0 it can't generate DMT bit per bin it showed error
DMT Bits Per Bin
.Jun 7 10:34:54.487: DSL(ATM0): rcv_cmd_ext_av 0x0 incorrect
.Jun 7 10:34:54.487: DSL(ATM0): Unable to get ADSL_GET_TC_PARAMETERS_AVAILABLE_EXT response for ADSL_GET_TC_PARAMETERS_EXT.
.Jun 7 10:34:55.455: DSL(ATM0): Unexpected ext response 68 received:None
.Jun 7 10:34:55.455: DSL(ATM0): OLR/L2 stats: expect 128 bytes, got 0 bytes
Not able to get complete DMT bin information.Retry "show dsl" after few seconds.
DSL: Training log buffer capability is not enabled
I didn't know what error message is. What does it mean?
However, I showed attenuation, power output and Noise margin
Noise Margin: 14.5 dB 18.0 dB
Output Power: 19.5 dBm 11.5 dBm
Attenuation: 35.0 dB 17.0 dB

Hi,
As far as ADSL signa is concerned, your Noise Margin and Attentuation parameter as good; which ( if not fault in IP cloud) should give you stable ADSL service.
show caller
will give you an idea about stability of your ADSL....

Seems like your ADSL line is UP and running stable for over 1week...
Can you elaborate what type of problem your are facing...
eg, slow response, frequent disconnection ( which I doubt seeing ADSL parameters and Stability )...

I faced disconnection frequently around 2 weeks per 1 time.
1. When it occured, router 877 can't receive siganl from ISP. I try to shut off and shut on it can't receive signal. When I replaced with Linksys Cisco router, it can receive signal. And I placed router 877 again it can receive signal.
2. Sometimes when I restart router, it took a long time to receive PPP signal.

I guess, then issue might be with your modem ( if you are using one )...
And if you are having line coming to your ATM port with RJ11 jack, check the local wiring before calling telco...
