Hello all,
I'm studying about 65xx chassis.
The question is below.
1. I'm wondering what's the difference between OIR and Hot swap?
I guess OIR and How swap are same meaning, does it?
2. Among daughter cards, I found on the documentation that DFC can support OIR.
However, I didn't find whether CFC can support OIR.
Can't CFC support OIR?
Regards,
SK.

Hello Soon,
Yes, OIR and Hot swap mean the same.
All the line cards on 6500 are hot swappable so be it CFC based cards or DFC based cards.

Thank you Vinit!!
Ah, 6500 are hot swappable!!
Then, WS-F7200-CFC can't support OIR.
I think it isn't supporting OIR ..

SK.

Hi,
CFC is a daughtercard on the line card. So, if you need to change the CFC, you just change the whole line card witch is how swap able.
