Solved: ASR 1001x Memory Fail

Hello,

Just unpacked this new ASR1001x. Plugged it in and connected the console cable to it. It failed to boot and I had the same error message from this discussion: Kernel dump error .

I turned off and on the router now I have this output:

Initializing Hardware ...

System integrity status: 00000610

ERROR: Memory init failed

I have read that this may happen after 2 years of use for the ASR1001x ( Field Notice ). This is a brand new one.

Is there any solution other than RMA? This needs to be delivered in two weeks and we can't afford to wait for the RMA.

RMA the appliance but tell TAC that it is DOA.
If it's deemed as DOA, they'll send a BRAND NEW unit instead of a refurbished one.

Thanks for the advice, I swapped the two RAM Cards and it booted but now it loses configuration after reboot. This router is hopeles, we need to get a new one.
