Hello Everyone
I need your help
What is the command to validate subslot 0/1 transceiver 3 Rx and TX Power Sensor
Our monitoring system is detecting alarms about that
Thanks very much

Hello,
the command:
show hw-module subslot 0/1 transceiver 3 idprom detail
should list the thresholds...

Hello,
try the command:
show interfaces diagnostics optics interface
08-24-2020 11:19 AM
01#show interfaces diagnostics optics ?
% Unrecognized command
I try this:
01#show hw-module subslot 0/1 transceiver 3 status
The transceiver in slot 0 subslot 1 port 3
has been disabled because:
the port is in shutdown state
Module temperature = +24.878 C
Transceiver Tx supply voltage = 3321.7 mVolts
Transceiver Tx bias current = 16 uAmps
Transceiver Tx power = -15.6 dBm
Transceiver Rx optical power = -40.0 dBm
What is the threshold ?
Look at it
Transceiver Rx optical power = -40.0 dBm
Transceiver Tx power = -15.6 dBm

Hi there, what was actually the reason for "Transceiver Rx optical power = -40.0 dBm " ? I am having the same issue. Even if the state of the port is down it show Transceiver RX optical power as -40dBm. Any thought appreciated!

Hello @serefay21 ,
>> Transceiver Rx optical power = -40.0 dBm
it likely means no signal received like in your case. It can be seen as the lowest power level that can be detected = noise.
Hope to help

Hi Giuseppe,
thanks for your reply first of all. I am actually disabling the connection port in one end and I can see that the Port stat on Cisco ASR Router is also, as expected, goes down. However my expectation is that there should not be any noise if the port is in down state. Why is it still sensing the channela nd (of course it will not get any signal since it is deliberately shut down). What my concern is whether this some sort of bug ? or the SFP is defect? or is it just a normal behaviour?. This is what I am trying to clarify. I am expecting that if a port is in down state, then why NMS is giving a mentioned health error.
Many thanks in advance!
